Whilst working with Tobias on my short film, The Graveyard Shift, he proved himself to be extremely capable and reliable collaborator who I would work with again in a heartbeat. Coming into an independent film production from across the other side of the world, Tobias gave clear instructions and advice based on his ample professional knowledge to both myself as Director, and our composer to ensure the sound edit and mix for the film was at the highest level possible. While we were let down by our on-set sound recordist in New Zealand, over in the UK, Tobias worked seriously hard to amend the issues we had over here, as well as very patiently walking me through the steps of recording ADR. pleasure to work with a number of times in the past few years.
I met Tobias working on my first feature film 'Ocean’s Arrival' in 2022, where he brought our film to life through the sound design and atmosphere of the watery and cold Pacific Northwest. He later joined to design a few of my short films in my series The Mesmerism IV: Prophetic. While we worked internationally, Tobias made the time and effort to bring a level of attention to detail across all my projects.
Working with Tobias, he was able to bring his insight and experience of his sound both in minute moments but the macro too. I was impressed by his ability to harness my sound design inspirations and flesh them out across my projects.
